The Role Job Purpose**:


The main purpose of a payroll administrator at a logistics company typically involves managing and processing employee compensation, benefits, and related financial transactions.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Load new employees, terminations, upgrades & downgrades updates string codes link employees to leave rule
  • Synerion month end process
  • Import hours into Accsys via import file
  • Process and check all input received.
  • Import overtime hours and short time for certain companies from Synerion
  • Ensure all third party payment billings balance to payroll.
  • Responsible for SARS related activities, BCEA rules including RTT rules
  • Handle all Bargaining council calculations and relevant processes accordingly
  • Dform to be updated, balanced to the Payroll.
  • Ensure payments are reconciled and payments made on time.
  • Leave forms are submitted on time
  • Preparing third party payments and recons.
  • Run monthly payroll journals, reports and reconciliations.
  • Prepare special reports as instructed by the payroll manager for SARS, etc.
  • Run and check leave reports
  • Pull reports for any AUDIT REQUIREMENTS
  • UIF declarations and UI1
  • Recon and submission of paperwork to the payroll supervisor for signoff payrolls
  • Filling of all payroll documents
  • Ensure that all salaries and third parties are paid within the stipulated deadlines every month.
  • Prepare third party payments, balance to reconciliations and payroll.
  • Any advance payments from time to time.
  • Assist with all pay queries

Skills and Experience Job Requirements**:


  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Degree/ Diploma related qualification is advantageous
  • Min 5 year's previous experience on full function payroll (minimum 600 employees)
  • Reporting and financial acumen
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, intermediate to advanced MS Excel is essential
  • Good Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems / queries practically
  • Team player who displays initiative
  • Hard worker additional hours worked as and when required
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
