    This role is responsible for making reservations for groups and preparing rate proposals. It requires ensuring accurate records of guest bookings, payments, and additional information.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Making reservations for groups and preparing rate proposals
    • Ensuring accurate records of guest bookings, payments, and additional information
    • Answering reservations calls
    • Upselling by informing guests of special packages or higher room categories
    • Assisting and maintaining an efficient administration system within the department
    • Following up on quotations
    • Managing room blocks and group bookings
    • Resolving guest complaints
    • Informing other departments about special instructions or facilities
    • Establishing and quoting rates within authorized limits
    • Booking transfers and other outlet requests and reservations
    • Reporting rate discrepancies and overbookings
    • Sending invoices, credit card payment links, and following up on payments
    • Updating internal worksheets daily
    • Capturing bookings accurately and in detail

    Requirements:

    • Matric and a formal qualification
    • At least 4 years central reservations experience
    • Previous hospitality experience required
    • PMS systems experience
    • Quality-focused approach
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Energetic and friendly personality
    • Positive and professional attitude
