    Description

    Job Title

    Responsible for accurate financial reporting on a monthly and annual basis for group companies. This includes compiling financial statements, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, preparation of tax and VAT returns, engaging with auditors and providing support during interim and final audits, analysis of financial information, and assistance on various projects as directed.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Key tasks include:

    • Preparing and presenting balance sheet reconciliations and other financial reconciliations for Group Companies
    • Preparation of deliverables required for the interim and annual internal and external audits
    • Submission and completion of annual financial statements and statutory returns to relevant authorities for the Group
    • Providing a monthly balance sheet management pack to senior management
    • Compiling schedules and analyzing financial information as required
    • Preparation of annual financial statements for Group companies using CaseWare

    General:

    • Support and assistance with team projects and initiatives
    • Participation in stock taking procedures when required
    • Active participation in team events

    Desired Experience & Qualification

    Required Qualifications and Experience:

    • Matric certificate or equivalent qualification
    • A minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
    • Understanding of audit techniques and principles
    • Ability to analyze and identify problems in working processes
    • Familiarity with banking platforms
    • Proficiency in Excel
    • CaseWare experience is essential
    • Knowledge of accounting software
    • Sound understanding of Income Tax and VAT legislation
    • Knowledge of IFRS and accounting reporting standards
