Description

Job Purpose

  • To manage and drive the functions of Human Resources, Marketing and Strategy within the CIB cluster, ensuring alignment to Nedbank Group, developing and implementing an engaging Employee Value Proposition (EVP), supporting the continued implementation of a competitive Client Value Proposition (CVP), and ensuring the fulfilment of their overall purposes:
  • Management of the HR function within the CIB cluster, developing a competitive advantage by creating and implementing the CIB HR strategy to realise our aspiration of being a great place to work, and attracting high calibre talent
  • Driving the strategic direction of a fully integrated CIB marketing function, ensuring that all marketing disciplines support the CIB and Nedbank business strategy by establishing and building the Nedbank CIB brand
  • Establishing a clear CIB strategy which is aligned to Nedbank Groups ambitions and ensures that CIB realises the business benefits of improved quality and profitability of the portfolio through driving the strategic value chain across cluster

Responsibilities:


  • Development and oversight of strategy and its execution across Human Resources, Strategy and Marketing:
  • Overseeing the development of strategies across these functional teams for CIB, from initial concept to final delivery and ROI measurement across different engagement platforms in alignment with the Nedbank Group & CIB strategy
  • Ensuring the integration of the CIB Brand strategy into the overall business strategy of CIB working across all Marketing platforms
  • Ensure success of the Marketing, Strategy and HR strategic ambitions and plans:
  • Ensure the achievement of Divisional EE and Transformation Plan
  • Hold reports accountable for deviations from Divisional EE and Transformation, and/or that they plan and ensure recommended corrective action is appropriate and implemented
  • Ensure development and implementation of a strategy to build a differentiated culture
  • Manage endtoend HR responsibilities, incl

capability building:

  • Manage performance of direct reports and hold them accountable for managing the performance of their direct.
  • Actively build a culture of improvement where people contribute to team effectiveness
  • Optimise performance and motivation
  • Empower teams to make decisions and recommend tailored solutions to business unit specific problems, through coaching and mentoring practices
  • Overseeing the programs and plans for crosspillar engagement and alignment across CIB:
  • Planning and alignment of HR strategic objectives by reviewing the three-year HR strategy plan and adjusting it with changed business requirements
  • Developing and managing a pipeline of strategic projects at an Exco level which is aligned to Nedbank CIB's 3year plans
  • Tracking of and reporting on Marketing, HR and Strategy-Cluster's budgets, financials, and operational performance:
  • Managing performance of reports and holding divisions accountable for managing the performance of their direct reports
  • Facilitating executive reporting on Human Capital and that people risk is addressed through active measures

Essential Qualifications
Relevant business related post graduate degree

  • Preferred Qualification
  • Preference for a component of Business Management or other relevant areas
    Minimum Experience Level
  • 10 years + relevant business experience
