Responsibilities:
Provide support to researchers and project staff, as needed. Manage, and maintain equipment/sites and facilities, ensure supplies. Coordinate and oversee transportation of equipment and personnel to various locations. Ensure that facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Facilitate setup and dismantling of equipment and facilities. Ensure good relationship with the community, suppliers, stakehoder, authorities and anyone
Requirements:
- Proven experience in logistics, maintenance, or a related field.
- Can organise practicalities for conferences, field research, health research, communitybased projects, school projects, largegroup travelling
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong team player
- Strong time management skills.
- Willingness to work in all kinds of contexts worldwide, including remote/ dirty/ foreign areas
- Adaptable and able to work in a multicultural team and experience in multicultural communication
- Flexible and able to manage stress, long hours and highintensity work.
- Selfdriven with a solutionorientated approach
- Able to train others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel and work in remote locations.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Versatile professional experience (e.g. procurement, import/export, transport/freight, stock management, setting up buildings, water and sanitation, organise accommodation for field teams)
- IT skills (Excel, Word, Internet, Zoom, etc.)
- Fluent in English, can communicatein in isiZulu or another language (please specify)
- Available for a minimum of 1 year
