    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Field Sales Engineer to join i-place-people in Africa.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Develop strategic sales plans to meet revenue targets within assigned territories.
    • Cultivate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and lead generation.
    • Build relationships with industrial manufacturers, engineering firms, and contractors.
    • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations.
    • Collaborate with internal teams for customer alignment.
    • Provide pre-sales and post-sales support, including product recommendations and technical assistance.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
    • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports.
    • Represent i-place-people at industry events and trade shows.
    • Maintain professionalism and integrity in all client interactions.

    Key Requirements

    • Fluency in French is a must.
    • Sales experience with technical products in Instrumentation and Process Automation sectors.
    • Relevant qualification in Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or Process Automation.

As a Field Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets within the assigned territory in Africa.

    Your primary responsibilities will include identifying and cultivating new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and lead generation activities. You will build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, including industrial manufacturers, engineering firms, and contractors.

    You will conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase our client solutions and capabilities, effectively communicating value propositions and benefits. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with internal teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer support, to ensure alignment on customer requirements and project execution.

    You will provide pre-sales and post-sales support, including product recommendations, solution customization, and technical assistance, to address customer inquiries and concerns. You will stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

    To succeed in this role, you will need to have fluency in French, as this is a must. You should also have sales experience with technical products within the Instrumentation and Process Automation sectors. A relevant qualification in Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or Process Automation would be advantageous.
