    Key Responsibilities of an Applications Specialist

    The primary role of an Applications Specialist is to provide support for sales and implementation activities. They will also serve as a key function to account managers during demonstrations, installations, and training sessions.

    This position requires the ability to work with various stakeholders and communicate complex information effectively.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities

    • Organize Training Sessions: Develop and implement training programs across all safety portfolios, both locally and internationally.
    • Prepare Training Materials: Source and arrange necessary products and spare parts for training purposes.
    • Safety Product Management: Manage the pool of safety products required for training sessions.
    • Competitive Intelligence: Gather and analyze competitive information, understand user needs and preferences, and share insights with sales and marketing teams.
    • Critical Differentiators: Identify and communicate critical differentiators that influence user decisions.
    • User Insights: Provide valuable information to the sales force about user habits, needs, and recommendations.
    • Technical Knowledge Transfer: Promote technical and application knowledge to end-users.
    • Training Planning: Plan and schedule yearly training sessions across all safety portfolios and create a comprehensive training catalogue.
    • Certifications: Ensure all necessary certifications are in place to deliver training across the entire safety portfolio.

    Training Expertise

    • Specialized Application Training: Train users on specialized applications.
    • 'Train the Trainer' Sessions: Conduct training sessions to equip trainers with the necessary skills.
    • Sales Engineer Training: Train Sales Engineers to enhance sales team efficiency.
    • Demo Support: Provide expert assistance during equipment demonstrations for customers.
    • Equipment Demo Assistance: Assist the Sales team in demoing equipment to users, including non-decision makers.

    Desired Qualifications & Experience

    • Postgraduate Diploma or Equivalent: Possess a postgraduate diploma or equivalent certification.
    • Technical and Training Experience: Hold at least 3 years of working experience in the field of Technical and Training.
