Job Description

This role is responsible for leading analytics projects delivery effort, providing project management, and developing descriptive and predictive analytical solutions that deliver benefits to clients and their customers.

Data Analysis & Model Development

• Ensure adherence to Experian procedures and processes throughout analytics solutions delivery process.
• Specify data extraction and manipulation routines for complex/non-standard projects, providing guidance to other Analysts where necessary.
• Extract, formulate, and manipulate data to create structured samples necessary to address business requirements.
• Identify critical business issues through data analysis.
• Interpret and supervise interpretation of analysis results.
• Implement quality control procedures for modeling and analysis reporting and scoring.
• Reduce error rate & re-run frequency, meeting both analytical & business objectives.
• Produce high-quality models within given project timeline.
• Analyze and confirm source data integrity.
• Participate in auditing models and results for accuracy.
• Audit statistical models and decision tools implementation.

Project Management

• Review client requirements to produce project specification and documentation for review by line manager, communicating practical implementation issues.
• Assess project scope, duration, resources, and costs to define project plan and charter for review by line manager.
• Support Operations workload on day-to-day basis, including liaison with onshore/offshore resource.
• Plan and organize project workload to meet client commitments and agreed schedules.
• Prepare project status reports for clients and line manager.
• Proactively identify potential risks in achieving project timescales, taking all possible action to minimize risk.
• Retail accountability for quality of project deliverables.
• Control project scope, re-negotiating with client where any additional requests result in further chargeable work or need for revised timescales.

Managing Client Relationships

• Support other departments/divisions within Experian in managing client, ensuring client commitments are understood and met as part of project.
• Provide clear, concise, and accurate information relating to project.
• Lead client/customer meetings to present results, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Responsible for prompt resolution of internal and external queries and questions.
• Establish strong relationships with clients/customers at peer level and above.
• Recognize and maximize opportunities to support sales process.
• Engage consultatively with client to identify problems and define/deliver solutions.

Problem Solving & Innovation

• Determine steps necessary to investigate/correct problems.
• Challenge existing processes and recommend product enhancements.
• Review standards (e.g., process flows/methodology/documentation) regularly, recommending improvements.
• Continual improvement of own/team skills by reviewing/testing new techniques.

Teamwork

• Act as mentor to junior project team members.
• Provide support to line manager on people management, KPIs, and budget issues.
• Efectively communicate project issues.
• Foster team spirit/mutual co-operation.

Pre-Sales and Sales Support

• Attend client meetings to support sales process.
• Support sales process by providing expert analytics solutions knowledge and demonstrations to clients.
• Presentation in front of clients/prospect Experian Analytics Solutions.
• Participate in bid reviews.
• Provide analytics training to sales force.
• Support sales force for client queries related to analytics solutions.

Personal Development

• Maintain awareness of latest regulatory/methodological/analytical/business/industry/market developments.
• Participate in industry events/conferences/seminars.
• Maximize potential learning from each project.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent standard, high mathematical content e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research (O.R.), Economics, Physical Sciences.
• Significant experience of statistical/analytics project work.

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $180,000 per year
