Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

  • The Financial Analyst (FP&A) would provide support in financial planning, analysis. As a key member of the team this position creates transparency across key areas of the P&L and Balance sheet within Emerging Markets (EM). It will provide support to the EM team in planning, analysis, and reporting, specialising in Operating Overheads (OOH), Cost of Sales Variances (COSV), Operating Working Capital (OWC), Margin analysis and Wholesale and Franchise channel analysis for the EM business, ensuring quality and integrity of the financials.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Support business Senior Management and business partners with correct, timely and indepth standard reporting or selective ad hoc analysis (Dashboards), to assist in making business decisions to achieve growth, profitability, and targets.
  • Support in development and implementation of standardized business controlling processes & tools with ongoing drive for improvements & simplifications.
  • Support and execute standardized monthly and adhoc financial reporting / process and partner with business and Senior Management for enabling factbased decision making.
  • Support and execute Operating Working Capital analysis (ageing of receivables, overdue receivables & inventory, noncurrent stock, clearance, accounts payable) for making better business decisions by actively collaborating with business partners and EM countries.
  • Support and execute Gross Sales, Sales Deductions, Returns, Standard Margin, Net Margin and Operating Overhead analysis for Wholesale and Franchise channel for making better business decisions by actively collaborating with business partners and EM countries.
  • Actively promote use of global OWM reports within EM, partnering closely with HR and OWM to ensure single version of truth.
  • Assist in the forecast and budget margin setting process for EM in close alignment with clusters, taking into account Global expectations, providing analysis and scenario planning.
  • Analyse EM goin and standard margin development (ACT/BOH vs. RFC/TAR) on a regular basis, highlighting risks & opportunities, and creating transparency to the EM FP&A community.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and derive recommended action steps.
  • Keep up to date with trends in field of expertise.
  • Assume back up roles to cover colleagues.
  • KPI's:
  • On time submission of Management Reports (update & analysis).
  • Accuracy of actual reporting and forecasts validation.
  • Validation of budget inputs based on actual and forecast reporting.
  • Meet reporting deadlines.

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • High Attention to detail
  • Business understanding of processes and structure.
  • Analytical and financial modeling skills, comfort with Finance and Accounting principles and good financial statement analysis ability.
  • Independent handling of a variety of tasks with different levels of complexity by developing effective plans and organizing work efficiently.
  • Desire and ability to work closely and collaboratively with EM markets, senior management and Global HQ.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Result orientation and proactivity.
  • High degree of customer orientation.
  • Ability to accept and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maneuver in consistently changing environment.
  • Good analytics and presentation skills, managing large data quantities from multiple sources (SAP, Excel, BI).
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
  • University degree in business administration with focus on Finance/Controlling with solid commercial experience.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Advanced System expertise in Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • SAP experience is an advantage.
  • 24 years of experience in the same or similar field.
  • Solid accounting skills and experience.
  • Industry experience: ideally in retail/apparel/fashion/consumer goods.
