MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
As a reservationist you are to be a professional, friendly, and efficient first point of contact for guests of properties in our
Accommodation Portfolio, ensuring that our facilities are sold in such a way that maximizes revenue whilst satisfying
the guests expectations. To respond to communications from guests, travel agents, and referral networks concerning
to detail is maintained during all stages of reservations from the initial enquiry, which includes correspondence checking
on a daily basis. To prepare letters of confirmation and invoices and promptly processes any cancellations and
modifications.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the smooth running of the reservations department, where all aspects of the guest journey and
experience are delivered to the highest level.

  • Preparing the list of expected arrivals for the front office and ensuring thorough handover and communication
of all bookings during the pre-arrival stage.

  • Processing advance reservation deposits.
  • Managing and coordinating the prearrival stage of group reservations.
  • Detailed knowledge on the hotels and apartments.
  • Work as part of a team that exceeds and maximizes guest satisfaction, delivering a positive and timely response
to guest enquiries and problem resolution.

  • Takes responsibility for the duties and tasks assigned to the role, ensuring that all work is carried out in a timely
and professional manner.

  • Builds and maintains relationships with all departments, agents, clients and guests whilst promoting the
company core values.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Hotel school qualification required
  • Minimum 1 year Hotel Reservations or Front Office experience.
  • Experience in Opera PMS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence
