- Implement and coordinate programmes and activities for the First Year Experience (FYE) programme that provides support to first-year students transitioning from high school to university.
- Implement general and faculty specific FYE programmes; Coordinate skills development workshops; Laise with faculties.
- Monitoring and evaluation of STPU programmes: Develop measures to determine whether STPU activities are meeting STPU goals & objectives; Monitor the progress of programme activities in relation to measure milestones (e.g., UCDP and other grant report requirements; Development and amend the evaluation designs to determine if the programmes are having its intended impacts; Design data collection forms and procedures and databases to capture and record data collected; Developing procedures for analysing quantitative and qualitative information to ensure that the findings are clear, creditable and address the relevant and priority evaluation question; Developing formative and summative evaluations.
- Report writing, dissemination of evaluation findings: The incumbent will write up the analyses and discuss the significance of evaluation findings in project reports.
- Promote collaborative practices and open engagement between university stakeholders that enhance student transitions.
- A master's degree in social sciences. Project coordination experience will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of five years relevant experience in Higher Education.
- Sound knowledge of Student Affairs Higher Education.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently and under pressure in a small team.
- High level of proficiency in MS programmes Demonstrated ability to design and maintain databases.
- Handle and project confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
- Experience in conducting and developing programme evaluations.
- Project coordination.
- Research and report writing skills.
