    The Mechanical Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing mechanical projects in mining operations. This involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that all mechanical systems are designed, installed, and maintained to the highest standards.



    Key Responsibilities:



    • Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment in mining operations

    • Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client objectives

    • Conduct technical evaluations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments

    • Collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution

    • Monitor and manage project progress, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

    • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during installation and operation phases

    • Prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and presentations for stakeholders


    About You:


    The ideal candidate is a proactive and technically skilled Mechanical Engineer with project management experience in the mining sector. Key requirements include:


    Qualifications:



    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

    • Professional Engineering (PE) registration or equivalent is a plus


    Experience:



    • 5 years of experience in mechanical project engineering, preferably in the mining or heavy industry


    Technical Expertise:



    • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems used in mining, including conveyors, crushers, pumps, and piping systems

    • Proficiency in CAD software and project management tools


    Project Management:



    • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects from concept to completion


    Problem-Solving Skills:



    • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve technical challenges


    Communication:



    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels


    Safety-Focused:



    • A thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards in the mining industry
