    Description

    I have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Manager to join a growing logistics company based in Cape Town. The ideal individual will be an experienced Financial Manager, someone who is ambitious, detail focused and hands on.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare budgets and yearly sales forecasts
    • Report on variances from budget, reasons for variances
    • Evaluate insurance policies, ensure policies are updated and renewed to mitigate risks
    • Drive visibility of Inventory, Accounts Payable and Cash collection
    • Review overdue accounts drive collections, drive decrease in overdue receivables analyse operational drivers (Invoice process, shipping and invoicing quality etc.)
    • Monitor accounts payable performance
    • Weekly, monthly and long-term cash flow forecasts
    • Perform monthly profitability analysis , drive improvements and implement required process improvements
    • Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the companies
    • Monthly analysis of variable and fixed expenses, provide recommendations to management to improve profitability
    • Review, approve and analyze year end financial statements
    • Develop company strategy, provide financial analysis and guidance on all business activities, plans and targets
    • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations
    • Assist and oversee debtors, creditors and administrators, provide necessary support
    • Maintain relationships with internal staff and external service providers, contractors,banking institutions and auditors

    Requirements:

    • Minimum BCom or equivalent tertiary qualification
    • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role, Previous experience working in logistics is advantageous
    • Advanced MS Office proficiency,
    • ERP System knowledge is essential
    • Must have excellent relationship building skills
    • High attention to detail
