Compliance Manager – UK Payments and KYB

Location: Cape Town, South Africa (remote with UK focus)

NRTH is building the next generation of payment automation across direct debits, payroll, and supplier payments. To scale with confidence we need a Compliance Manager who understands the UK payments landscape inside out.

The Role

You will take ownership of compliance across KYB, KYC, AML, and onboarding processes. You will work directly with our payments partners and ensure NRTH meets all UK regulatory obligations. This is not a learning role. We need someone who can start immediately with proven experience in the UK payments sector.

What You Will Do

• Lead compliance for KYB and KYC checks ensuring every business onboarded meets UK standards

• Manage AML frameworks, policies, and reporting

• Liaise with payment partners such as Moorwand, London and Zurich, and Plaid on compliance and onboarding

• Monitor transactions, risk flags, and ongoing due diligence

• Advise leadership on regulatory requirements and compliance strategy

• Own internal compliance training and processes as we grow

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 3 years compliance experience in the UK banking or payments sector

• Deep understanding of KYB, KYC, and AML frameworks within UK regulation

• Hands on experience with FCA requirements, onboarding processes, and payment providers

• Strong track record working in fintech, EMI, or PSP environments

• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver from day one
