    Hospitality Administrator required for Bakery in STELLENBOSCH - Stellenbosch, South Africa - Jobking

    Description
    Well-known wine estate, situated in the Stellenbosch region, requires a hardworking, enthusiastic, admin-driven individual to join our team.

    The ideal candidates should be a self-starter, fluent in English with a good command of Afrikaans, well-spoken, passionate about food & wine, have excellent interpersonal skill and enjoy working independently as well as with a team.

    The ideal candidate must be very well-organised, have a great telephone manner and be able to work under extreme pressure.

    Own reliable transport essential.

    DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

    Financial Duties:
    Supplier Invoices to be signed off and processed to the correct ledger accounts
    Wage registers to be managed and ensure HR documents for leave to be filled out accordingly
    Gratuities to be calculated according to daily registers
    Managing staff contracts, renewals and keeping track of expiry dates for work permits
    Petty cash to be checked daily with slips processed to ledger codes
    Ensuring restaurant has enough change and petty cash for cash deliveries
    Checking previous day's cash up and physical cash before sending through to accounts
    Ensuring that house accounts are signed off by the department's HOD
    Stock report is balanced and variances are brought to management's attention
    Creating of functions quotes and collecting correct information for accounts to create Invoices
    Entering of month end stock values
    Updating stock valuations for merchandise/wine/food & beverage on a regular basis to ensure that stock is valued at the correct and latest cost price excluding VAT
    Bakery Duties

    Managing emails for function requests and reservations
    Creating function sheets
    Professional answering of phone and managing of reservations
    Assisting with daily cash up and stock counts
    Ensuring stock PAR level is maintained and ordering of stock is done when needed
    Assisting to manage the till and counter purchases
    Ensuring that bookings through online payment portals are captured on booking system


    Job Type:
    Part-time


    Experience:
    Hospitality: 4 years (Preferred)

    Administration: 4 years (Required)

    Licence:
    Drivers licence and own car (Required)
