Main purpose of the job:
Incumbent will and be responsible for various Human Resources functions for the Organisation which will include inter alia recruitment, selection & onboarding, benefit administration, employee relations and other HR administrative functions.
Key performance areas - Assist with recruitment & selection, employee onboarding and orientation functions. - Provide administrative support and be responsible for the implementation of remuneration-related activities - Assist with benefit administration - Perform administrative duties relating to any performance management matters - Assist with the provision of guidance and support on employee wellness and health & safety issues - Provide advice and support on ER matters - Provide any necessary support with all statutory and legal obligations that relate to Human Resources e.g. Employment Equity Plans, Workplace Skills Plans - Provide support for the development, maintenance as well as ensure compliance with policies and guidelines - Any other duties assigned applicable to role.
Minimum work experience - Minimum 3 years' relevant experience
Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities - Excellent generalist Human Resources knowledge - Paterson job evaluation system knowledge - Experience working in a donor funded organization / NGO or project
- based environment
- Competent in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Payroll system knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
- High level of confidentiality
- Excellent record keeping, record management techniques
- Ability to work in highly pressurised environment with very tight deadlines
- Experience in training and facilitation
- Report writing ability
- Administrative ability
- Proficiency in English, IsiZulu/IsiXhosa
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as and when required to supported districts
- Must be available to commence work immediately.
