    An exciting career opportunity exists at Medipost for QA Pharmacists, reporting to the QA & Workflow Manager. This position is based in Gezina, Pretoria.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • The QA pharmacist ensures service delivery and quality assurance of parcels to be delivered to patients by Medipost.
    • They check and assure final verification of quantities, dosages, directions, therapeutic validation, storage conditions, and correct medication issued to patients.
    • The QA pharmacist ensures special requests and instructions from patients are adhered to while maintaining Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) compliance.
    • Additional responsibilities include assisting with compliance-related tasks, housekeeping, pest control, route and box validations, schedule 6 control, medication destruction, SOP updates, training, tutoring, and mentoring assistants.
    • Quality assurance is crucial, and quantity output plays a key factor in timely medication delivery to patients.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Ensure extra added quality by checking labels, presentation, and accuracy of medicine content.
    • Report any operational challenges or network errors to the supervisor or line manager.
    • Assist the Oncology Department with QA tasks and support other departments as needed.
    • Participate in the yearly stock take and ensure Quality Assurance checks for all schedule six prescriptions.
    • Liaise with the Schedule Six department and work closely with the CCTV officer to determine patient query validity.

    Time and Attendance Policy:

    • Comply strictly with the company's Time and Attendance policy.
    • Work back hours owed by the end of the month.
    • Inform the Line Manager in case of late or non-arrival.
    • Avoid exceeding the lunch hour and book planned leave in advance.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12 certificate.
    • Registration as a Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
    • 1-2 years of experience in a Pharmacy Environment.
