    Description

    Main Purpose/Objective of the Position: The primary goal of this role is to conduct thorough inspections of buildings, manage and control service- and maintenance contractors, oversee tenant installations, and execute building-related activities as predetermined by the Property Manager and Centre Manager.

    Decision Making Authority: Decisions are based on in-depth knowledge of theory and systems. The incumbent must select from a limited array of systems and routines or rules at their disposal, while working within prescribed policies and guidelines.

    Experience/Education: A minimum of 3 years' experience in Facilities/Operations Management is required. A Grade 12 qualification is also mandatory. Electrical, Mechanical, or Construction background and technical skills are highly recommended.

    Knowledge Required: In-depth knowledge of GPS lease conditions, including house rules, as well as an understanding of housekeeping principles, advanced technical knowledge, company policies and procedures, administration principles, and reporting requirements. Working knowledge of statutory requirements and cost budgeting and control is also essential.

    Major Drivers of Work Volume: The geographical spread of buildings, grading and complexity of buildings, tenant and customer profile, level of mechanical/electrical complexity, rental levels, and management complexity/intensity all impact the volume of work.

    Interface/Relationships with: Internal stakeholders include Property/Centre Manager, Lease Administrator, Debtors Administrator, and Handyman. External stakeholders consist of Contractors, Landlord, and Tenants.
