Description
We are looking for an experienced Hotel Maintenance Manager to join the team.


Responsible for both hard and soft service, hard services will cover all to do with the physical infrastructure maintenance (PPM, Contractors services, HVAC, Electrical, Civil work, IT Infrastructures, Fire equipment, CCTV).

Soft services will be more staff oriented, (Cleaning, OHSA, SLA, Contracts, Security, Gardens, Pest Control, Solar Plant experience, Waste management, etc).

Good Facilities Manager must be an effective communicator, proactive and transparent, constantly thinking about prevention, create a culture of collaboration by investing in their employees, which improves operations across the organization.


Hotel Maintenance Manager looks after all services that helps a business performs its core business without interruptions covering security, cleaning, IT systems, gardens, physical infrastructure maintenance, hotel support services, service level agreements, to ensure that they meet business, guests, customers, and employer & employee's needs.


KEY FOCUS AREAS

  • Make sure all teams achieve set KPIs,
  • Overseeing the agreed contracts with service providers (internal & external) including security, parking, cleaning, waste management, housekeeping, IT systems, CCTV, and physical infrastructure maintenance work.
  • Supervising the performance, monitoring & evaluation of multidisciplinary teams including cleaning, maintenance, grounds, and security.
  • Ensuring that facilities support services, such as water, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, are wellmaintained
  • Managing budgets and ensuring costeffectiveness.
  • Managing work programs and space between buildings.
  • Ensuring facilities support services are compliant with set regulations (OHSA).
  • Energy efficiency and costeffectiveness management.
  • Overseeing building projects, renovations, or refurbishments when necessary.
  • Submitting monthly operations reports and making written recommendations.

Available 24/7, though normal weekly hours apply, extra hours are sometimes required for emergencies or to meet deadlines
REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Grade 12 (essential)
  • Qualified Electrician/Air Con Technician/Facilities Qualification
  • City Hotel Maintenance Management experience is key
  • Good allround with planned maintenance systems for hotels, apartments
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical, problemsolving skills and good decisionmaking skills
  • Good teamwork approach and ability to lead and manage teams and projects.
  • Attention to detail ability to see the implications for the bigger picture
  • Good Customer service skills, organizational & time management.
  • A good knowledge of IT packages (reports, computer literacy).
