    Job Description: Wellness Manager

    Universal Healthcare, a fully independent and owner-managed company by an entrepreneurial team, is South Africa's fastest growing healthcare brand and an organization known for delivering world-class service.

    We are seeking a Wellness Manager to be responsible for the operational management of some of the wellness and occupational health services within Universal Corporate wellness.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Operations Management:
    • Manage day-to-day operational processes for wellness days, executive health, occupational health services, lifestyle coaching, and ensure customer-focused quality-driven services are provided to clients.
    • Ensure adherence to deadlines and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
    • Responsible for data management and comprehensive client reporting.
    • Present reports to clients with informed recommendations.
    • Build strong relationships with service providers and source new providers where needed.
    • Update and manage departmental collateral, website, and IVRs annually.
    • Work closely with the Operations Manager for implementation.
    • Oversee and manage inventory management process.
    • Assist with annual budget compilation of the division.
    • Align services to industry best practice and drive improvement, assisting with new product development as needed.
    • Update standard operating procedures and ideal workflow reviews annually. Create new SOPs where needed and implement.
    • Report incidents online and inform Senior Manager of any incidents or identified risks.
    • Assist Senior Manager with annual addendums and communication with senior providers and clients.
    1. New Business Opportunities:
    • Provide high-quality proposals and costing for sign-off by Senior Manager for submission to clients. Drive sign-off and implementation of service once submitted.
    • Manage and coordinate financial process for applicable wellness services from quotation to invoicing while ensuring budget adherence.
    • Assist Senior Manager with content and quotes for tender submissions.
    1. Team Management:
    • Manage performance of direct reports, providing support, training, and coaching where required. Ensure Key Result Areas (KRAs) are met and address through training or poor work performance process if needed.
    • Assess training needs of team members and provide recommendations.
    • Ensure team members implement standard operating procedures of the division.
    • Monitor time and attendance of team members and leave balances monthly.
    • Maintain continuous open and clear communication with all team members.
    • Encourage positive working team environment and suggest practical steps to achieve this.

    Requirements:

    1. A related degree in health and wellness or business-related field.
    2. A minimum of 3 years managerial experience.
    3. A minimum of 3 years experience in the wellness industry.

    Language and Work Requirements:

    • Fluency in English language (read, write, speak, comprehend).
    • A valid driver's license and own transport.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

    1. Knowledge about physical activity, nutrition, wellness, and health promotion.
    2. Excellent verbal communication skills.
    3. Detail-oriented.
    4. Excellent presentation skills.
    5. Ability to adapt.
    6. Team player with good interpersonal skills.
