My client is seeking a Senior Legal Advisor (Corporate & Competition) with a LLB Degree (NQF level 7).


Requirements:


  • LLB Degree (NQF level 7)
  • 7 Years relevant legal & commercial experience of which at least 2 years at management level
  • Admission as practicing Attorney or Advocate
  • Business Acumen; Commercial Law; Company Law; Competition Law; Corporate Law; ICT Environment; Property Law

Responsibilities include

  • Contribute to the strategic direction and management of Legal Services and implement Legal Services Strategy
  • Assist the Executive Legal Services to develop and implement corporate strategies and policies.
  • Advise on mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, competition considerations, and other ancillary and related issues.
  • Coordinate and manage the approach towards corporate and commercial issues arising from time to time and to which the organization is party or potentially party.
  • Carry a caseload of highlevel and/or complex individual legal matters.
  • Prepare legal reports and provide legal comments to ensure that management and decisionmakers are fully informed of legal implications of proposed courses of action.
  • Implement and manage appropriate systems and processes to ensure that the organization's directors/leadership comply with their respective responsibilities and obligations.
  • Assist in the interpretation of law, rulings, and regulations governing the organization's commercial and operational activities.
  • Prepare legal documents and business contracts and administer other related legal matters.
