    Position: International Sales Consultant

    Salary: Market-Related (Estimated R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum)

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Meet sales objectives and support international managers in achieving and exceeding sales budgets.
    • Visit high-profile customers to develop relationships and identify new business opportunities.
    • Develop and implement strategies to grow sales and expand market share.
    • Maintain effective cost control measures to ensure expenditure aligns with the approved budget.
    • Foster good communication and relationships with customers, employees, and international fabric brands.
    • Respond promptly and courteously to customer issues and queries.
    • Provide regular feedback on queries, delivery dates, and backorder lists.
    • Manage operational problems and flag them as required.
    • Address customer complaints efficiently and effectively.
    • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by meeting expectations.
    • Collect and share feedback on special orders with the manager.
    • Collaborate with the international manager to set a realistic budget.
    • Schedule weekly reports to monitor sales, market, and competitor activity.
    • Implement and adhere to cost control measures to maintain budget alignment.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service to all staff in the region.
    • Support sales consultants and showrooms in matters related to international sales.
    • Communicate regularly with team members to share brand and product updates.
    • Attend weekly sales meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
    • Coach showroom and sales consultants to enhance skills and knowledge.
    • Represent the company as a brand ambassador for international fabric houses.

    Requirements and Skills:

    • National Senior Certificate or Diploma in a related field is advantageous.
    • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the wholesale of luxury goods or interior decor environment is preferred.
    • Previous exposure to textiles/fabric sales is an advantage.
    • Possess strong skills in sales, new business development, customer service, product knowledge, negotiating, presentation, market research, campaign implementation, branding, public relations, and report writing.
    • Hold a valid driver's license and have a reliable vehicle for travel.
    • Speak fluent English and one other SA language, depending on the area.
