    About the Role

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to successfully deliver short- and long-term business objectives and performance targets for our science product portfolio.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Develop marketing, product and brand awareness plans to achieve targeted product positioning, product life cycle, pricing, promotional and profitability strategies in line with internal and external targets.
    • Develop marketing strategy and execution of plans for assigned products to influence and drive marketing, sales and pricing strategies.
    • Own the portfolio of sales enablement materials including customer-facing and internal information ensuring key messaging and positioning is consistent and complies with supplier directives.
    • Maintain a pulse on the competitive landscape and make recommendations to strengthen value propositions and differentiators.
    • Plan and organise presence and attendance at relevant exhibitions, conferences, and symposia.
    • Provide sales, application specialists and technical services teams with regular and relevant product information and competitive insights.
    • Review sales performance of assigned portfolio specific to regions and accounts and provide recommendations to drive improved sales performance.
    • Report and communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly/annual initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Complete and review weekly/monthly product inventory demand forecasting timeously and accurately to minimise stock write-offs.

    Requirements

    • NQF6 qualification is required.
    • A relevant bachelor's degree is preferred for this role.
    • Previous commercial marketing- and product management experience in haematology and clinical chemistry solutions with proven knowledge and expertise in the South African private and public IVD industry.
    • Must be highly skilled and experienced in different pricing models pertaining to instrument placements/reagent rentals/lease agreements for customer contracts and tenders.
    • Previous experience in strategy development and new business development is required for this role.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
    • Must have existing relationships with KOLs critical.
    • Must have an understanding of public and private reimbursement mechanisms.
    • Previous experience in coagulation and chemiluminescence immunoassay solutions would be advantageous.
