Duties/Pligte

  • Positioning Stellenbosch University as a tertiary institution of choice;
  • Providing outstanding customer service;
  • Disseminating information relating to our academic offering to assist prospective students and their parents to make an informed decision;
  • Coordinating oncampus activities for school groups and individual visitors;
  • Marketing Stellenbosch University through presentations on various inperson and online platforms which can include, but are not limited to, information sessions at schools for learners, teachers and parents, and participating in programme fairs (career exhibitions);
  • Effectively managing relationships with internal as well as external stakeholders;
  • Compiling monthly reports on activities, reach and impact;
  • Conducting market and marketing research to provide detailed insight on the behaviour of specific market segments and aligning it to global best practices.
Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes

  • A relevant bachelor's degree;
  • At least two years' working experience in a similar environment;
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
  • The proven ability to present comfortably to large and smaller audiences;
  • Good organisation and administrative skills;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • The ability to perform under pressure;
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team;
  • A valid driver's licence;
  • Willingness and availability to travel often and to work irregular hours and over weekends when necessary;
  • Full computer literacy.
Recommendation/Aanbeveling

  • Knowledge of and experience in Basic Education;
  • Experience in marketing and recruiting for a higher education institution;
  • Knowledge of the University and its internal systems.
