Job Advert Summary:


To protect Rand Water staff, assets and property in line with the National Key Point Act, the MPSS, other relevant legislation as well as site specific procedures and training.


Minimum Requirements:


  • Grade 1
  • Five years relevant experience of which two years must be within a National Key Point
  • NKP certificate registration
  • PSIRA Grade C registration
  • Successful completion of the following
Firearm Unit Standards: 123515, and 12351- Competency certificate with SAPS in handling a Pistol, Rifle or Hand Machine Carbine as well as shotgun

  • Valid Code B drivers license and the ability to pass Rand Water K53 test
  • Public drivers permit is mandatory
  • Supervisory experience will serve as an advantage

Primary Duties:


  • Access and egress control
  • Emergency reaction and preparedness, incidents investigations
  • Patrolling and guarding of perimeter, area and building and adhering to the company rules and regulations
  • Protect Rand Waters installations, assets, people, including contractors, in accordance with current legislation
  • Enforce company policies and rules; including SHEQ related matters ad crime investigation
  • Perform related administrative duties as required

Knowledge:


  • Knowledge in the use of firearms
  • Knowledge of National Key Point Act and current relevant legislation
  • Patrolling and guarding
  • Access and Aggress control
  • Knowledge of SHEQ Management System ISO 45001
