    Our comprehensive financial control systems require a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain their accuracy and efficiency.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    1. Relieve the Catering Manager in his/her absence.
    2. Ensure that the unit is profitable at all times.
    3. Handle cash transactions, including sales control sheets, balancing of theoretical and actual sales, and reconciliations.
    4. Deal with customer inquiries, function bookings, and complaints.
    5. Monitor daily resale outlet activities.
    6. Assist with management of the unit, including stock takes and inventory checks.
    7. Compile weekly summary of Profit and Loss for the unit.
    8. Prepare and submit bookkeeping returns as required.
    9. Ensure that all financial records and documents are accurate and up-to-date.
    10. Maintain asset register and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    11. Follow up on short payments from clients and record discrepancies.
    12. Maintain Balance Sheet Recon files and process cash books and bank reconciliations.
    13. Monitor resale outlets to ensure cash at units account is fully reconcilable.
    14. Perform general administration and housekeeping tasks related to financial documents.
    15. Prepare and post General Ledger Journals and ensure complete and valid PRS processing to the AX system.
    16. Liaise with Unit Manager/s regarding collection and invoicing of local debtors.
    17. Assist in debtor collections and manage debt collection timeously towards target of maximum 60 days or less.

    Qualifications

    • B Degree / equivalent qualification - advantageous.
    • Minimum matric.
    • 2-3 years' experience in a similar position.
