An opportunity for a Production Technician has presented itself at our client in the packaging manufacturing industry in Ottery, Cape Town.

This role will be a developing role and will include a probation period where the applicant will need to prove competence and eagerness to fulfil the duties and responsibilities.

Matric + N2 in Electrical or Mechanical
Physical strength (Moving of table and machines)
Strong technical aptitude and practical basic mechanical experience
Strong Numeracy (use of Measuring tools)
Pedestrian stacker/forklift qualification
Good learning potential
Good attention to detail
Willingness to help and learn
Problem solving and decisionmaking skills
Good handeyecoordination
Selfmotivated
Team player
Willingness to work night shifts and overtime where necessary

The Key deliverables for the role are as follows:

Preparing production consumables (Teflon)
Preparation of machines for production readiness (Teflon changes and sealing wire

inspections, sealing head setup)

Setting up machines (Plugging in power, pneumatic and switching on and testing

operation)

Setting out the layout (Moving of tables and machines)
Assisting with machine maintenance (Tightening bolts, replacing simple parts)
Follow safe operating practices when working on machinery
Maintaining high levels of housekeeping in work area

Please note that this is an outsourced position and you will be employed by us as the agency and assigned to the client for the durtion of your assignment.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary

Contract length: 3-6 months

Salary:
R53,98 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
