Role purpose


The job of Social Media Coordinator is to support the retail marketing teams in Switzerland (IG Bank) and UAE (IG) and B2B marketing team (IG Prime) based in London in implementing and developing the brand presence on relevant social media channels to grow awareness and consideration Building and executing social media strategy.

The role reports to the Marketing operations Team Lead, based in Johannesburg.

What you'll do

Planning

  • Develop a yearly calendar for social media presence of our 3 markets in collaboration with local teams and external agencies to make sure local marketing activities are supported in an efficient manner
  • Propose differentiated approach for both B2C and B2B audiences and for each channel (Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn)
Content

  • Develop effective copy and assets for post such as:
o static images

o animated infographics

o short videos

o polls, stories

  • Optimise the pages based on best practice and internal brand guidelines
  • Edit or repurpose video developed centrally or locally (education, markets news)
  • Collaborate with local analyst and external agencies for some specific project to support content developments
  • Leverage existing content developed centrally to make it relevant to local audiences especially on YouTube
  • Make sure that the assets are in line with the channel's specs and compliance requirements
  • React to market movements or key news to maximise engagement
Implementation

  • Plan and execute the posts, stories, reels in our social media management platform under Sprout Social
  • Moderate comments and manage answers on different channels (in coordination with local markets for nonEnglish languages) in line with our internal guidelines
Performance and optimisation

  • Implement KPIs and metrics followup to measure performance
  • Develop bestinclass approach and suggest optimisation of social media content
  • Continuously improve our social presence and translate recommendations into actions

Essential:

  • Digital enthusiast, passionate about social media
  • Degree in relevant fields: digital marketing and social media management
  • 2 to 5 yearexperience in social media, preferably for services
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
  • Strong expertise in managing social media, ideally through Sprout Social
  • Background in image and video editing (Adobe Suite, Camtasia, Smartly)
  • Experience in working with remote teams
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with different teams and external partners
  • Organised, able to handle deadlines, multitasking, problem solving
  • Delivering high quality execution standards
  • Comfortable to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Autonomous and proactive
  • Team player and flexible, handson,
  • Excellent command of English

Desirable:

  • Experience in the financial markets industry
  • Good understanding of marketing principles and mechanism
  • Additional languages: French, German, Arabic
  • Flexibility in working hours (to covers Swiss and UAE time zones)
  • A good understanding of the marketing technology ecosystem
  • International exposure
