Description

A division within a JSE listed conglomerate is seeking an Internal Auditor add value and improve on its risk management, control, and governance processes.

Duties:


  • Assess and evaluate business processes and identify key controls and risks.
  • Implementing the relevant audit programmes to test these controls.
  • Performing audits to identify and manage control deficiencies, potential frauds, regulatory compliance deficiencies and/or inefficacies.
  • Preparation of work papers, computations, and statistical reports to comply with control procedures.
  • Resolve advanced and complex audit elements.
  • Exercise sound judgement in audit approaches.
  • Drafting and presentation of reports.
  • Maintaining professional relationships with management.
  • Follow ups on recommendations and controls to ensure they are operating effectively.
  • Work alongside the audit team to design and implement improvements.
  • Contribute to development of the team through training, coaching, and mentoring.

Job Experience & Skills Required:


Qualifications:


  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • CA(SA)
  • BCom or similar degree

Experience:

years post articles experience

  • Internal audit exposure
  • Retail and/or manufacturing sector experience highly beneficial

  • Able to simultaneously work independently and part of a team
  • Target and goal orientated

  • Microsoft Office
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced)
  • Report writing

  • Willing to travel to main cities in South Africa
