Job Purpose

  • To perform analysis and on new product development opportunities in order to build new products that will create new revenue streams for the bank

Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to define, develop, test, pilot and launch new customer centric products for the bank.
  • Ownership of the business and technical solution.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Communicate solutions and ideas to stakeholders through meetings, presentations, and documents.
  • Provide meaningful recommendations, explanations and highlights of concerns or anomalies by analysing and interrogating information.
  • Manage risks by adhering to internal and external guidelines/policies/procedures/business rules/ compliance and governance requirements.
  • Define business requirements (features and user stories) for development.
  • Prioritise business requirements (features and user stories) by value.
  • Identify business problems by analysing data and reports from various sources.
  • Support the achievement of the business strategy; objectives and values
  • Contribute to a culture conductive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc).
  • Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy (e.g. Green Strategy).
  • Contribute to intellectual capital development by providing continuous motivation; mentoring; coaching and on the job skills training.
  • Identify training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from management.

  • Essential Qualifications
  • NQF Level
  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees


  • Preferred Qualification

  • Bachelor of Commerce or

  • Bachelor of Engineering.
  • SAFe 4 Agile Certification preferred
  • Agile Product Owner would be an advantage
