    Health and Safety Officer

    Isilumko Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Officer to join their team in Cape Town.

    Job Summary

    The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing effective health and safety protocols, as well as promoting these within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Health and Safety Protocols: Design, implement, and manage effective health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
    2. Risk Management: Oversee and manage health and safety measures, ensuring that risks are addressed at a senior management level where appropriate.
    3. Leadership: Lead the company in terms of health and safety practices across all offices.

    Requirements

    1. National Diploma: National Health and Safety Diploma (SAMTRAC or NEBOSH) is required.
    2. Experience: 3 years' health and safety experience in an office environment, with a valid Driver's License.
    3. Computer Literacy: Computer literacy, particularly MS Office Suite.
    4. Legislation: In-depth knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and related legislation.
    5. Organizational Abilities: Excellent organisational abilities, administrative skills, and attention to detail.
    6. Commitment: Commitment to the principles, policies, and programme of action of the company.
    7. Outcomes Orientation: Outcomes-orientated, not simply task-orientated.
    8. Flexibility: Willingness to go the extra mile, which includes working long and irregular hours, weekends, and public holidays where necessary.
    9. Driver's License: Applicants must be in possession of a valid driver's license and have access to an insured vehicle for occasional use.
