    Description

    Business Manager/Chartered Accountant

    The Business Manager/Chartered Accountant will hold a dual role, combining strategic business management with financial expertise to drive the success and sustainability of the organisation.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Supervise finance team including Accountant General, Accountant Debtors, and Creditors Clerk
    • Review monthly finance reports, payroll, and VAT
    • Present management accounts to CEO on a monthly basis
    • Review quarterly reports submitted to SHRA
    • Assist with preparation for board meetings and audit preparation
    • Implement processes to ensure compliance with SHRA regulations.

    Strategic Business Management:

    • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organisational goals.
    • Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support decision-making.
    • Identify growth opportunities and risk management strategies
    • Collaborate with department heads to align financial objectives with overall business objectives.

    Procurement Department Setup and Management:

    • Establish the procurement department.
    • Implement policies, processes, and compliance monitoring

    Leasing and Debtors Department Oversight:

    • Review and sign off new lease agreements.
    • Ensure compliance with internal processes and policies
    • Oversight of leasing and debtor's department staff

    Legal Affairs Coordination:

    • Collaborate with Legal Director
    • Ensure legal compliance in all operations

    Reporting & Systems Management:

    • Oversight of company-wide digitization process
    • Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Review and enhance policies and procedures.
    • Implement organisational controls and risk mitigation measures

    Desired Experience & Qualification

    • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with a bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the housing or real estate sector.
    • Strong understanding of finance, procurement, leasing, and debt management processes.
    • Proven track record of strategic business planning and implementation.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Knowledge of SHRA regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.

    Package & Remuneration

    Basic Salary - R50 000 PM, depending on experience.
