Description

Duties:


  • Mapping of processes to evaluate effectiveness of the control environment.
  • Identify areas of risk within the organisation and propose appropriate controls to mitigate the risks.
  • Identify key controls and test adequacy and effectiveness for higher risk areas identified in each process.
  • Assessing compliance with policies, standards and procedures.
  • Prepare audit planning documents
  • Prepare audit work papers.
  • Document control breaks identified.
  • Prepare draft audit reports for discussion with business.
  • Discuss audit findings and recommendations with Business Unit leader/control owner
  • Monitor the timely implementation of the recommendations in the audit reports.
  • Conducting ad
- hoc store compliance and other reviews whilst maintaining independence.

  • Attend stock counts

Job Experience & Skills Required:


Qualifications:


  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Completed Degree/Diploma in Internal Auditing or Accounting
  • Completed CIA or CA

Experience:


  • 46 years work experience in a similar role (auditing, accounting, financial analysis, information systems or related fields)
  • Experience in Retail will be advantageous.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Work, Excel and Visio.
