    Job Description

    This position is responsible for leading a team of Data Analysts, implementing operational plans to meet quality and service standards for all Data projects and deliverables. The person in this role will manage data flows in and out of the business, generate intelligence, and oversee client and partner data teams to ensure timely delivery of data requests.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Data Management: Overseeing data governance, quality management, architecture, warehousing, master data, security, integration, metadata, analytics, and lifecycle to ensure accuracy, accessibility, security, and usability for organizational objectives.
    • Team Management: Providing direction, inspiring, and coordinating others to achieve objectives.
    • Service Excellence/Customer Service: Ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality results.
    • Problem Solving & Technical Support: Diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing assistance to users, and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems and services.

    • Microsoft SQL Server: In-depth knowledge of database configurations, tuning efficiency, and ETL processes.
    • T-SQL - SQL Programming: Proficient in query development, Stored Procedures, process optimization, etc.
    • Azure Data Platform Stack:
      • Azure Data Lakes/Blob
      • Azure HDInsight (Apache Spark)
      • Azure Databricks
      • Azure Blob Storage
      • Azure SQL Database
      • Azure SQL Data Warehouse
      • Azure Synapse
      • Azure Machine Learning
    • Python: Possesses necessary skills in Python programming.
    • Statistics
    • Data Analysis and Interrogation skills
    • Data Quality Assurance
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

    Qualifications

    • Technical Diploma (Computing) – as a minimum.
    • Advanced technical experience (5 years) in SQL.
    • Advanced technical experience (3 years) in Python.
    • Technical experience in Azure data platform (3 years).
    • Data Modelling.
    • Data Warehouse.
    • Bureau Data experience advantageous.
