We are on the lookout for a talented Inbound FIT Reservations Consultant to join our team The position is based at our Head Office in Westville, Durban.


The Inbound FIT Reservations Consultant is responsible for providing expert travel advice to their customers, always providing quality information at every touch point.

They are responsible for planning and designing travel experiences, handing Inbound FIT bookings from quote to finalising, invoicing, and travel documentation.


The key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Planning and designing travel itineraries; providing travel advice and recommendations that will exceed the guest's expectations.
  • Deliver on all aspects of the customer's request and meet their delivery expectations.
  • Quote the most appropriate products and services, meeting the price expectation of the customer.
  • Sourcing and securing alternatives if any availability challenges arise.
  • Converting quotes into bookings.
  • Conducting availability checks; booking of all accommodation and travel services and reconfirmations of all services.
  • Managing release dates of services booked.
  • Accurate and timely loading of bookings into the reservations system.
  • Resolving any ontheground incidents or challenges.
  • Managing customer accounts and resolving account queries within set deadlines.
  • Quality Control of bookings.

Requirements:


Qualification:


  • Grade 1
  • A Travel and Tourism qualification is highly recommended

Core skills and experience required:


  • Experience in consulting, quoting, and operating Inbound FIT travel bookings
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of working with travel booking systems
  • Product, destination, and logĂ­stical knowledge of South and Southern Africa
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Computer Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Can deal effectively with high volumes/pressure whilst paying attention to every detail
  • Someone who is customer service orientated and focused on the customer experience always understanding and considering the customers' expectations and requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Can maintain quick turnaround times and can effectively prioritize work and manage their time.
  • Are highly adaptable, and resilient and enjoy working in a changing and dynamic environment
  • Is resourceful, solutionsdriven, and can resolve challenges
  • Team player
