FORKLIFT MECHANIC/TECHNICIAN POSITION

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of the Forklift Mechanic is to maintain, diagnose and repair a variety of forklifts and other materials handling equipment.

They must ensure that all components and systems are in good working order and that the machines are kept in a safe condition.

Duties

Removes unsafe equipment from the facility operating area and notifies the supervisor.

Tests forklift trucks to ensure repairs are completed correctly.

He will be responsible for the repair, preventative maintenance and service of various types of forklift trucks - Diesel, LPG/Petrol, Electric forklifts and warehouse equipment on-site.

Taking care of orderly workplace at workshop, Keeping all maintenance areas clean
Creating, completion and maintaining job cards.
Providing general maintenance support.
Experience
Min 5 years experience with servicing and repairing forklifts.
Basic mechanical systems know how preferred
Must be able to communicate at all levels.
Well-disciplined and self-motivated

Salary:
R19, R25,000.00 per month
