Technical Sales Representative

The ideal candidate for this role is a high-performing individual with an Agronomy/Agriculture background or experience. The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for the sales and marketing of plant nutrition solutions to current and potential clients in the Limpopo area.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Grows new or established client territories, manages relationships, and meets targets set by management.
• Outlines and achieves distribution and growth objectives within a specific geographic area through effective management.
• Introduces innovative solutions, promotes improved distribution, and provides client reports.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of business/market conditions and plans sales efforts to recognize new opportunities.
• Built trust and confidence with farmers through product knowledge, presentations, and objection handling.
• Prepares sales and admin reports and circulates them to company management.

Key Qualifications

• Matric qualification.
• Sc./diploma/degree or previous sales experience.
• Agronomist or agriculture-related sales experience.
• Work experience in the agricultural inputs industry (preferable).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
• Decision-making and planning skills.
• Familiarity with marketing techniques and concepts relevant to the agriculture sector.

About the Role

This role involves working closely with clients/farmers to develop better farming conditions and long-term working relationships. The Technical Sales Representative will conduct research, take and test samples, and solve complex agricultural problems using unique product solutions.
