About the Role

We are seeking a Top-Notch Millwright to join our team at our factory in BLOEMFONTEIN. The ideal candidate will have a recognized Millwright trade and be multi-skilled in Fitting and Basic Electrical, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prioritize all manufacturing activities to ensure efficient production.
• Set targets and oversee their achievement to meet operational demands.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve efficiency in the factory by utilizing the workforce to optimal capacity.
• Collaborate with key staff across various departments to drive manufacturing processes forward.
• Assist in product design and identify cost-effective improvements to manufacturing processes.
• Install, maintain, and repair a wide range of equipment, including pumps, motors, fans, blowers, compressors, gearboxes, pipes, valves, actuators, electrical control gear, instrumentation systems, flow meters, level control instruments, wiring, and cables.
• Set up and operate rigging systems, such as hoists, cables, chains, cranes, and pulleys, to move and relocate equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, P&IDs, OEM & O&M manuals to diagnose procedures and fault finding.
• Document maintenance activities by populating job cards with accurate data and building a record of maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Matric certificate
• At least 4-6 years of post-qualification experience with a solid track record
• Relevant Production Management diploma/degree (advantageous)
• Recognized Millwright Trade Certificate
• Multi-skilled in Fitting and Basic Electrical (recognized apprenticeship)
• Valid driver's license and own transport required
• Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Pneumatics, and Utilities experience in a factory plant environment
• Basic understanding of SCADA & PLC systems
