    Commercial Underwriter Position

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Underwriter to join our team.

    About the Role:

    • This is a full-time position that requires a strong understanding of short term insurance underwriting in commercial lines.
    • The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in commercial underwriting at a brokerage.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Overall underwriting processes, including quotations, new business, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and unpaids/age analysis.
    2. Ensure accurate and correct documentation processing.
    3. Provide timeous attendance to internal and external queries.
    4. Contribute to general administration and service delivery to Accounts Executives.
    5. Pursue retention and growth of client base.

    Requirements:

    • Maturity (Matric).
    • RE5 and CPD Hours.
    • Representative with the FSCA (DOFA required).
    • FAIS Compliant.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent in English and Afrikaans).
    • Ability to work well under pressure.
    • Experience using Flexi and Cardinal (CIMS360) software.

    Beneficial Requirements:

    • PC Literacy/Microsoft Office.
    • Attention to Detail.
