    POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team at Mintek.

    About the Job

    The successful candidate will work with senior researchers and other ecosystem partners to conduct cutting-edge research that advances the objectives of the organization.

    This is a fixed-term contract position, negotiable in terms of salary, and requires a doctorate in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Formulate ideas for technical projects, develop research questions, design experiments, identify problems, and evaluate solutions.
    2. Collect, analyze, and model data.
    3. Present research at high-impact conferences nationally and internationally.
    4. Participate in site visits, meetings, and workshops.
    5. Produce high-quality research publications.
    6. Contribute towards developing prototypes, processes, models, and products.

    Requirements

    • Doctorate in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.
    • Excellent technical skills.
    • Good track record of research outputs and publications.
    • Good teaching and training skills.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent writing and presentation skills.

    Location and Salary

    Located in Randburg, South Africa. Negotiable salary based on qualifications and experience.
