    About Us:

    The Thandulwazi Maths and Science Academy was established in 2005 by St Stithians College as a pioneering initiative to provide educational opportunities for students and teachers in public schools. With a focus on Maths and Science, we strive to make a significant contribution to the public education sector and scarce skills development.

    Programme Overview:

    We invite applications from committed candidates who believe they have the required dedication to participate in our Teacher Development Programme. The selected individual will pursue a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Development (Foundation Phase) at a public tertiary institution, preferably Unisa, while attending contact sessions at St Stithians College on selected Saturdays.

    • Payment of tuition fees only, excluding registration fees
    • Support and guidance on academic work with registered modules

    Eligibility Criteria:

    To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Be a South African citizen
    • Have submitted an application for part-time study at a public tertiary institution for the 1st year B. Ed ECD in Foundation Phase in 2025
    • Be able to attend contact sessions at St Stithians College on selected Saturdays
