    Lecturer (Education, Foundation Phase)

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lecturer to join our dynamic team at a prominent national brand tertiary institution in Port Elizabeth.

    Requirements:

    1. Bachelor of Education Honours degree or equivalent qualification.
    2. A minimum of 5 years' experience teaching or lecturing in the Foundation Phase.
    3. Relevant undergraduate qualification in Education, preferably with a focus on the Foundation Phase.
    4. Preference will be given to candidates who are pursuing a Master's degree in Education with relevant Foundation Phase experience.
    5. Superior communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills.
    6. Demonstrated ability to work proactively and manage workload effectively.
    7. Able to demonstrate a proven track record of effective teaching in their subject area through reflective practice.
    8. Able to build and maintain effective relationships with managers and staff, promoting motivation, quality, and performance.
    9. Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
    10. Experience using technology to enhance learning is an added advantage.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Lecturing

    1. Lecture on management-specific programmes across various modes of delivery as required.
    2. Mark and provide feedback on assessments in subjects lectured.
    3. Internally moderate assessment scripts within subject fields as necessary.

    Lecturer Development and Support

    1. Assist in lecturer development and support processes, including conducting peer reviews, facilitating workshops, and one-on-one consultations.

    Student Development & Support

    1. Lead and manage academic development and support for a specific programme and its students.
    2. Monitor student success and implement support interventions where required.

    Research & Scholarship

    1. Promote a culture of scholarship within the practice, discipline, and campus/team.
    2. Contribute towards annual research output targets.
