Responsibilities list:
- Manage large amounts of incoming phone calls.
- Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve satisfaction.
- Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools.
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.
- Keep records of customer interactions.
- Adhere to procedures, guidelines and policies.
- Take the extra mile to engage customers.
- Transferring and maintaining data from other formats into computer files or database systems.
- Typing in data provided directly from customers.
- Creating spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes.
- Taking existing data from a separate document and inputting it into Excel.
- Using and keeping track of formulas on the existing sheets.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (Formatting cells, finding and replacing data, sorting data).
- Creating data driven charts and other visual presentations, for presentations to Management.
- Ability to use simple functions such as SUM, COUNT, AVERAGE, SUMIF, COUNTIF.
- Verify data by comparing it to source documents.
- Defining, implementing and maintaining data archiving procedures and storage protocols.
- Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested.
- Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
- Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost.
Requirements and skills:
- Proven customer support experience or experience as a Client Service Representative.
- Strong numeracy skills.
- Computer Literate.
- Track record of overachieving on assigned quotas.
- Excellent phone etiquette and contact handling skills along with active listening.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Proven experience as data entry clerk.
- Fast typing skills.
- Advance knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc).
- Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
- Basic understanding of databases (Creation and Maintenance).
- Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills.
- Great attention to detail.
Core Requirements:
- Matric Certificate
- Minimum 3 years work experience
Salary:
From R12,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- High School (matric) (preferred)
Experience:
- Customer service: 3 years (required)
