Requirements & Duties:

  • Matric & Accounting Diploma would be an advantage
  • Minumum of 5 years procurement within the HOSPIALITY indusrty other industries will not be considered
  • Responsible for evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved purchases are costefficient and good quality
  • Manages all procurement processes along with cost control
  • Ensures full compliance to the group procurement platform
  • Signs off for order books and ensures daily safe keeping until signing back daily to FM.
  • Ensures sustainable stock holdings and profit margin per budget is maintained.
  • Supervises regular yield tests and records results
  • Obtains three quotes from competitive suppliers for inventory items, files price lists and records prices and delivery times
  • Obtains market lists for food, beverage, chemicals, guest and paper supplies and maintenance requirements from Heads of Department
  • Ensures that the internal audit criteria are in place and enforced at all times
  • Organises, in conjunction with Financial Director, and attends to all stores stock takes monthly
  • Must have a clear credit and criminal record, the hotel will ask prior to sign on for a credit and crimnal check to be conducted should you be offered the role
  • Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay uptodate with industry trends
  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
