Cost Accountant for Mining Industry

Hire Resolve has partnered with a leading Mining House to find a Cost Accountant who is responsible, respects the environment and creates a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial processing & reporting
2. Operation cost control & allocation
3. Preparing operational cost budgets
4. Cost reporting for operations
5. Asset register control
6. Operation purchasing & pricing control
7. Month end processes
8. Collaborate with operations management and staff
9. Support plant management and Financial Department
10. Stock Management
11. Implement and control spare inventory management system
12. Manage inventory
13. Evaluate stock levels
14. Organize and conduct inventory counts
15. Control stock value
16. Maintain warehouse general housekeeping
17. Supervise, coach and mentor staff members

Requirements:

1. Grade 12 / Matric with accounting as a subject
2. Degree in Finance / Cost & Management Accounting
3. Post graduate qualification may be advantageous
4. 5 - 8 Years working experience in a similar field
5. Experience in cost management
6. Experience in spares inventory control
7. Be an action-orientated person
