Position Overview:


Specific Role Responsibilities:


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Cheques and Eft's.
  • Cash Book.
  • Careful scrutiny of documentation before issuing payments.
  • Daily Bank Reconciliations and Receipting.
  • Suspense Recons.
  • Posting to Ledgers.
  • Scrutiny of documentation for FIC.
  • Assisting financial accountants.
  • Safekeeping of records and cheques.
  • General Administration.
  • Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Report deviations to Financial Manager.
  • Capture transactions on Kerridge operating system.
  • Full creditors function Monthly BEE compilation as well as monthly Sustainability.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping.
  • 24 years of experience in the financial experience in the automotive retail environment.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within automotive retail environment.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • A strong team player yet still able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Must be able to work and willingness to work flexible hours including one weekend day and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
  • The willingness to learn, be cheerful, with a positive attitude.
  • Bilingual is a requirement.
  • Kerridge Experience is needed.

Educational Requirement:


  • Grade 12 with mathematics.
  • Bookkeeping course will be an advantage.
  • Two years of related clerical experience which includes at least six months' experience in counting, receiving, or disbursing money; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
