    The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and executing care plans that meet patient needs, while promoting evidence-based practice and actively participating in Clinical Governance.

    This is a key role in our team, requiring direct and indirect nursing care of patients, adherence to South African Nursing Council (SANC), Department of Health (DOH), and National Core standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to holistic patient care.
    • Maintain aseptic technique when handling supplies and equipment.
    • Help control costs through efficient use of resources.
    • Effectively communicate with patients and healthcare teams.
    • Promote good public relations and teamwork.
    • Evidence-based practice and documentation.
    • Care plan development and implementation.
    • Communication with healthcare practitioners.
    • Documentation and compliance.
    • Stock management and control.
    • Maintenance of a safe working environment.

    • Competency in CPR/BLS/Anesthetic refresher course.

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
    • Enrolled Nurse qualification.
    • Current registration with SANC.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience as a registered Nurse.
    • Scrub nursing experience.
    • Floor nurse and Anaesthetic experience.
    • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient safety.
    • Knowledge of Infection Control & Prevention.
    • Problem-solving and analysis skills.
    • Resilience and adaptability.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Customer responsiveness and flexibility.
