    Anew Hotels and Resorts is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to oversee the culinary operations of our OR Tambo hotel.

    About the Role:

    • Menu Planning: Develop and implement menus that meet the high standards of our guests, ensuring a variety of options to cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
    • Stock Control: Manage inventory levels, monitor stock movement, and maintain optimal stock levels to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
    • Purchasing: Source high-quality ingredients, manage relationships with suppliers, and negotiate competitive pricing to ensure the best value for our hotel.
    • Hygiene and Sanitation: Maintain impeccable hygiene standards in all food production areas, adhering to health and safety regulations and protocols.
    • Staff Management: Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient service delivery and exceptional guest experiences.

    Requirements:

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks under pressure.
    • Knowledge of local and international cuisine, menu planning, and costing techniques.
