    Description

    Financial Accountant Role

    We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to assist with the Group Reporting and Treasury function for an 8-month contract.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Proven technical knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • SAP experience is a strong advantage.
    • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
    • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
    • A high level of confidentiality required.
    • Emotional maturity, ethical values, and integrity are essential.
    • Able to work efficiently under pressure.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-motivated and able to take initiative.
    • Precise planning and excellent administration skills.
    • Quality-oriented and self-driven to achieve results.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is essential.
    • 'Big 4' articles or equivalent experience required.
    • Minimum 2 years post-articles experience essential.
    • Proven technical knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • SAP experience is a strong advantage.

    The Job:

    • Support the Group Treasury function.
    • Review supporting documents and release online payments.
    • Review interim and year-end packs for completeness.
    • Assist with preparing:
      • interim and year-end annual financial statements;
      • supporting workings to the financial statement process.
    • Assist with:
      • technical research - IFRS matters;
      • IFRS 9 & 16 workings;
      • external audit queries;
      • analysis of monthly consolidated results;
      • prepare banking covenant calculations;
      • Investor relation queries.
    • Assist with ad-hoc administrative tasks.
