    Quality Control Inspector

    Location: Kempton Park

    Salary: R26 000CTC

    The role is responsible for ensuring that all company-manufactured Products are manufactured within the Company Code, Specifications, and client requirements. The incumbent will be accountable for ensuring compliance with ISO 9001: 2015

    Duties:

    • Ensure that all products supplied to customers are according to prescribed specifications and quality standards.
    • Inspect the material being processed to ensure that it conforms to specifications and customer requirements.
    • Inspect the setting of the machine is set correctly to produce the product to specification and ensure operators are following relevant standard operating procedures.
    • Reduce downtime and scrap metal through quality control.
    • Inspect packaging to avoid product damage and ensure the customer receives the product in good condition.
    • Product Standards adhered to: Twice daily and thereafter routine inspections.
    • Investigate and prepare Non-Conformance Reports on defective products and Goods Returned Notes
    • Investigates Non-Conformances and implements corrective measures.
    • Check the Calibration of Instruments against the Master Instrument. (Factory, Maintenance, Mobile Mills, Drawing Office, and Sales)
    • Inspect Coils for defects and process Coil Claims with Supplier
    • Inspect all products bought from the Supplier to ensure no defects and are within specifications.
    • Respond to and resolve queries from the Dispatch and Customers
    • Inspect Profiles
    • Perform Tests requested to ensure the quality and durability of COMPANY Products when required by the customer or Management.
    • Problem Solving on Quality Matters
    • Stock take Preparation and Participation
    • Ensure Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.
    • Liaise with Customers to ensure customer satisfaction and use feedback for continuous improvement on Quality Control
    • Ensure that defective products that have had NCRs are labelled and can be identified easily in order to prevent the defective products from being dispatched to customers and can be accounted for during stock take.
    • Compile NCRs and Goods Returned Notes on a daily and weekly basis.
    • Submit reports to Tactical Manager
    • Manage systematic filing of NCRs, GRNS, and Calibration Records for ease of access and record keeping.
    • Assist with QA Audits

    Provide Customer with Specification Documentation (Data Packs) and Customer Inspections

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Matric certificate / Grade 12
    • Certification in quality control is preferred.
    • ISO9001:2015 Accreditation
    • Working at Heights
    • Steel Product knowledge Advantageous
    • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
    • Good math and technical skills.
    • Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
    • Valid Driver's Licence
    • Ability to read technical drawings.
